About Us

As a kid, of the 70's, I grew up with a musical and artistic family. I really wanted to be a professional singer, but honestly, I CAN'T SING...so my second choice was ARTIST! My love affair with art began early. From the time I could hold a crayon, yes, resisting the urge to chew on the crayon, I began to draw! I was always encouraged, but, at the same time, the term "starving artist" haunted me.

Fast Forward to 1992. My mother-in-law gifted me a set of artistic paint brushes, some craft paint, and a few terracotta pots. This is where I caught PAINT FEVER! The Artist in me was reborn! A few years later, I am now a stay-at-home mom with two very energetic boys! They climbed the walls, I started painting on them. It was my calm in a sea of chaos.

With shock and awe, my husband came home to find me drawing all over the walls! I didn't know if he was going to commit me or commend me. Lucky for me, he gave me carte blanche artistic freedom! From cartoons in the kid's play room, to a safari animal room with a double pride rock for their bedroom. My boys faces lit up! Something was clicking! Room by room, I practiced faux finishes and brush techniques. Soon came the day that all the walls were done - some walls three or four times.

My first paying job was painting airplanes and clouds for a little boy's room in 2001. I was working on this piece on 9-11-2001, when the planes were used as weapons against The United States. Shaken, the family still wanted the piece completed so their son would see planes as a comfort, not a fear.

From that point, art became not only my creative outlet, but a way to help provide for my family. Every day I learn more about my craft, as the art world is ever-changing!

Then, one by one, new clients started to come in. A faux finish to make a boring stainless steel cooler look like old stone and ivy. A massive 3-piece canvas set for a hotel buffet back drop. A classic Winnie the Pooh for a nursery. An underwater world for a new grand baby. A martial arts studio wanted specialized designs for belt levels and logos. Hotels wanted their mission and vision statements to look like they were etched in stone. Bars wanted a tropical feel of a rainforest. Resorts wanted massive canvas work of the flags of their employees homelands. 20ft tall murals in the restaurant and pool areas. 100ft long murals of wildlife in Florida. As of late, the newest/hottest seems to be painted canvas that looks and hangs like ancient scrolls.

I really love going to work, or working in my studio! Making my clients happy is very rewarding for me. Transforming ordinary spaces, walls, or canvas is what this journey is all about. Each job is different, challenging, and rewarding. I never have the same job twice!"

Just like every person is different, so is every artist. When you look for an artist to work with, first browse through their portfolio or gallery of work. Make sure the style fits your needs. Artistic talent comes from passion and practice, not from a piece of parchment that dictates completion of study. Just as reading an owner's manual of a plane doesn't make you a pilot.

I look forward to working with you.
